Kaleb Nyquist, Student Ministries Coordinator

Kaleb, originally from McMinnville, Oregon, graduated from North Park University in 2012 with a dual degree in Global Studies and Conflict Transformation.  At North Park, Kaleb ran for both the cross country and track & field teams, participated in the S.V.F. exchange to Sweden, led a group of fellow students out to India to join in caste-reconciliation ministry with Truthseekers International, and helped plan the Sunday night “collegelife” worship service.

Prior to joining Ravenswood Covenant as the Student Ministries Coordinator, Kaleb worked at Cascades Camp, counseling youth of all ages, most recently directing a service-leadership program for high school seniors.  Kaleb also has interned with Covenant World Relief and M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.  In addition to his work with Ravenswood Covenant, Kaleb serves Young Evangelicals for Climate Action as a steering committee member/campaigns assistant, and also is on the board of directors for Covenant Pilgrimage.

In his free time, Kaleb continues to enjoy running, traveling and reading.  Kaleb presently lives in the North Center neighborhood with a number of good friends and one rather lazy cat.

"With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade." (Mark 4:30-32 NRS)
