WELCOME AND COMMUNITY LIFE
CALL TO WORSHIP
Psalm 90:14-17
Leader: Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
People: Make us glad for as many days as You have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.
Leader: May Your deeds be shown to Your servants, Your splendor to their children.
People: May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.
UNISON PRAYER
Loving God, open our ears to hear Your truth.
Lord Jesus, open our eyes to see You leading the way.
Holy Spirit, open our minds to new possibilities.
Father, Son, and Spirit, as we open this worship service, open us up to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Amen.
* GLORIFY THY NAME
Father, we love You
We worship and adore You
Glorify Thy name in all the earth
Glorify Thy name
Glorify Thy name
Glorify Thy name in all the earth
Jesus, we love You
We worship and adore You
Glorify Thy name in all the earth
Glorify Thy name
Glorify Thy name
Glorify Thy name in all the earth
Spirit, we love You
We worship and adore You
Glorify Thy name in all the earth
Glorify Thy name
Glorify Thy name
Glorify Thy name in all the earth

* HOLY FOREVER
A thousand generations falling down in worship,
To sing the song of ages to the Lamb.
And all who’ve gone before us, and all who will believe,
Will sing the song of ages to the Lamb.
pre-chorus
Your name is the highest.
Your name is the greatest.
Your name stands above them all.
All thrones and dominions,
All powers and positions;
Your name stands above them all.
chorus
And the angels cry, “Holy,”
All creation cries, “Holy.”
You are lifted high,
Holy forever.
And if you’ve been forgiven, and if you’ve been redeemed
Sing the song forever to the Lamb.
If you walk in freedom, and if you bear His name,
Sing the song forever to the Lamb.
We’ll sing the song forever and amen.

NEW TESTAMENT LESSON: Gregory Sager
Luke 4:38-44
After leaving the synagogue He entered Simon’s house. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Him about her. 39 Then He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she got up and began to serve them.
40 As the sun was setting, all those caring for any who were sick with various kinds of diseases brought them to Him, and He laid his hands on each of them and cured them. 41 Moreover, demons also came out of many, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that He was the Messiah.
42 At daybreak He departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowds began looking for Him, and when they reached Him they tried to keep Him from leaving them. 43 But He said to them, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.” 44 So He continued proclaiming the message in the synagogues of Judea.
* ENDLESS LIGHT
From the highest throne to the earth below
You laid down Your life for the likes of us
Great is the love of the Savior
From a wounded heart to a life made whole
Every human heart will declare as one
Great is the love of the Savior
Lord of endless light
Let Your glory shine forever
All the earth
All the earth sing Your praise
From the mountain heights to the valleys low
All created things given life to show
Jesus, we live for Your glory
From the rising sun to the still of night
Every waking moment for Your delight
Jesus, we live for Your glory
Lord of endless light
Let Your glory shine forever
All the earth
All the earth sing Your praise
Hope of every heart
Let Your Name be lifted higher
All our hearts
All our hearts sing Your praise
God be exalted
God be exalted in everything
We live for Your glory
Live for Your glory
(repeat)

REFLECTING ON THE WORD
Luke 5:1-11
Gone Fishing
Pastor Ryan
* I, THE LORD OF SEA AND SKY
I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save.
I, who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?
refrain
Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.
I, the Lord of snow and rain. I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them. They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone
I will speak my words to them. Whom shall I send?
I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them. My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life to them. Whom shall I send?

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

* DOXOLOGY & PRAYER
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

* SENT FORTH BY GOD’S BLESSING
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from His dwelling take leave.
The service is ended; oh, now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of His teaching, receptive souls reaching,
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
His grace did invite us; His love shall unite us
To work for God’s kingdom and answer His call.
With praise and thanksgiving to You ever living,
The tasks of our ev’ry day life we will face,
Our faith ever sharing, in love ever caring,
Embracing Your children of each tribe and race.
With Your feast You feed us; with Your light now lead us.
Unite us as one in this life that we share.
Then may all the living with praise and thanksgiving
Give honor to Christ and His name that we bear.

Furniture needed
Carla, a former attender of Ravenswood Covenant and participant as both a helper and a vendor in the farmers market, is emerging from a time spent in shelter care as a victim of domestic violence. She is now enrolled in school, and she and her daughter have moved into a new apartment in our neighborhood. They are interested in reconnecting to our church. They do, however, have some material needs in terms of a lack of furniture. If you or someone you know has spare items that you or they can donate, please contact Gregory in the church office, or you can call Carla directly at 773-618-6836. She and her daughter need:
* mattress and full-size bed frame for Carla
* mattress and twin-size bed frame for her daughter
* small kitchen table
* small couch
* desk for her daughter to do her homework
* desk lamp
Thanks!
