Description

Youth Group is an evening program designed for 3rd -6th  graders (older students welcome), both of the surrounding neighborhood and of the Ravenswood Covenant congregation, to come together for fun and fellowship.

Our vision is to be a participatory space where middle school-aged youth can develop real and lasting friendships, explore faith in a safe and shared environment, and express life with God in a heartfelt and meaningful way.

Programming varies from week to week, but each month will have one “Big Game Night”, one “Big Question Night”, and one “Theme Night”.

On “Big Question Night” and other times we have discussion, leaders will frame the conversation in the tradition of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Students are encouraged to further explore these questions through their own experiences and background.

The coordinator of Youth Group is Kaleb Nyquist.

"With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade." (Mark 4:30-32 NRS)
